Chris Kresser: The answer to your question is yes. It should be adjusted based on protein intake. If someone has a snack and it doesn’t have any protein or very little, they may not need to take any HCl, but if they have a 16-ounce steak, then they might need to take quite a bit more HCl. That’s definitely how it works.
