Next question from Nick. “Dr. Bredesen has mentioned urinary mycotoxin tests on Dr. Rhonda Patrick’s podcast. Have you any experience with GPL MycoTOX urinary panel?”

Chris: I have a lot of respect for Dale and we agree on many things, but this is not one of them. I really do not think that there’s any science to support urine mycotoxin testing. I’m going to paste a couple of links in the chat box, and you’ll really need to read on the subject. This is a report written by a microbiologist named Gary Rosen, the first one talking about the science, or lack of science, behind urine mycotoxin testing and the problems with it, just even conceptually. And then there is another link which has similar information but different from … Also, Dr. Lisa Patterson, who runs the website Paradigm Change, which is a blog that looks at the role of microbial toxin chronic illness, mold, ME/CFS, and she does a really good breakdown of the problems with urine mycotoxin testing as well, so let me paste that one in there too. My take is no, it’s not valid, not useful. I don’t use it.
