Have you found [the] Diagnostic Solutions GI-MAP stool test results to be more informative and reliable than most PCR tests?

Chris Kresser: Next question [from] Ariel, “Have you found [the] Diagnostic Solutions GI-MAP stool test results to be more informative and reliable than most PCR tests?”

Yes, I do, in general. We are using that test now, but there are a few concerns that I’ve had with it. We’re working with the lab to try to address those, and we are going to be adding some content to the course on how to interpret those test results and use them in the same way that we have with the BioHealth and the Doctor’s Data, so stay tuned for that. I do like the H. pylori testing where they test the quantitative amount of it and also the virulence factors, and I found that was really helpful in terms of making decisions about treatment.
