  3. I have a patient who has taken an unbelievable amount of antibiotics over five to seven years in the Army, [such as] Doxy [and] anthrax drugs. [The patient] reports no gut symptoms, [and] only reports rosacea. [I’m] curious what you think could be going on, as she has no gut symptoms, [or] maybe she doesn’t feel them, yet they are there. I’m going to order Doctor’s Data, yet [I’m] curious [about] your experience.

A 100 percent, especially skin, that’s always where we start is the gut. She may just not be symptomatic. It’s hopeful, sometimes, that they have symptoms because it helps, like, justify the lab tests; the patient feels much more comfortable paying for something like that because they’re symptomatic, but especially for skin, rosacea, eczema, that is 100 percent where I would start, is order the stool tests and if you don’t find much, then you could also just start from a place of restoration, like maybe a MegaMucosa, which is, like, the immunoglobulin and prebiotic powder and then, like, Seed symbiotic and maybe just start from a place of restoration. I mean, with the history that she has and the combination of the rosacea, I would 100 percent start with the gut and I would still treat it if there was something on the stool test. Even if she wasn’t symptomatic, we would still treat [her] to try to get the gut immune system [in] check, so I think you’re on the right track.
