Dr. Amy Nett: Dunwoody Labs does have a test, and I believe they do serum zonulin levels. That’s a histamine test, so their test, I believe it’s an advanced panel that tests histamine, DAO, or diamine oxidase, and zonulin. We haven’t used that test too much. They just added zonulin to it. I’m not sure what you’re looking for as a measure of zonulin, if you’re looking to see if that’s a measure of intestinal permeability, because the other option … so this week, we talked about the intestinal permeability test, and there’s both the mannitol and lactulose tests, and that gives you information on intestinal permeability, and then you can combine that with the Cyrex Array 2 panel for intestinal permeability. Again, that one gives you the antibodies for occludin and zonulin. Those are the tests we talked about this week, and we talked about when to use the intestinal permeability test, so I’m not entirely sure what else you’re looking for with just a serum test for zonulin. The only one I know of is through Dunwoody Labs, but again, the question is, what are you looking for outside of the information you’re already getting on the intestinal permeability test?
