Should we treat hydrogen sulfide SIBO any differently or should we treat the patient by their main complaints, diarrhea or constipation?

Chris Kresser: Next question from Gavin, “Should we treat hydrogen sulfide SIBO any differently or should we treat the patient by their main complaints, diarrhea or constipation?”

For now, we do the latter. Dr. [Mark] Pimentel, the last interview I did with him on my podcast, was excited about new research that they were going to be publishing on hydrogen sulfide SIBO, both diagnosis and treatment. I think they were due to do that in March or April, but for obvious reasons, I imagine that timeline has been delayed, so we’re still waiting on that.
