Dr. Amy Nett: The 1+ candida species should be completely normal. I don’t have the ranges for Diagnos-Techs, but when we looked at the stool testing—I believe that was last week we did stool, or maybe two weeks ago—we mentioned that yeast is a completely normal part of the GI tract. We expect to see candida, so the only abnormal finding I see here is a borderline low secretory IgA. Or, I’m sorry, that’s quite low because it looks like the Diagnos-Techs range has 400 as their lower limit of normal. Immunoglobulin A can be particularly affected by stress, so five years ago, I don’t know if you remember, but what were your stress levels at that time? Again, both internal and external sources of stress. I wouldn’t really recommend treatment based on test results that were done five years ago because things would have changed a lot, and you’re mentioning that you don’t have any digestive issues. So if you want to follow up on that, I would recommend doing a repeat stool test. Again, go through Doctor’s Data or BioHealth, as we’ve been talking about, and then depending on those results, you can actually determine where to go with treatment or additional testing.
