Do you use a tincture of demulcent herbs for reflux, or capsules?

Kelsey Marksteiner:  I actually use a powder most of the time. I’ll recommend DGL powder or slippery elm powder or marshmallow root powder, have them mix that with water and take that. The tincture could probably work fine. It’s just not something I typically use. Capsules I wouldn’t recommend because you want the herbs to be making contact with the inflamed tissue. If they’re taking a capsule, we don’t know exactly where that’s dissolving and where they’re actually getting exposed to the herb itself, so I would recommend avoiding the capsules and either going for the tincture or definitely I know the powder works. That’s what I tend to use. The tincture, I would imagine, probably works, but I just don’t have experience with it personally.
