I understand that you don’t trust Genova’s GI Effects stool testing, but would you comment on CDSA? The literature states that for this test they use standard bacterial culture. Would this be more comparable to the Doctor’s Data test?

Dr. Amy Nett:  I ran this question by Chris, and he said that he’s not sure that the methodologies for the GI Effects actually differ from the CDSA, so his perspective on this was similar to what he said in the prior content, that he would still have some reluctance in terms of how reliable the Genova testing is. I know some people have mentioned previously that they have had some benefit and seen clinical benefit after using the Genova tests and following those for treatment plans, so I’m not discounting them totally. I just think you might have a higher rate of false positives and/or false negatives on that as well, so it still may not be as reliable.
