When doing a follow-up SIBO breath test, how long do you have patients stop rifaximin or botanicals prior to that follow-up testing?

Amy Nett: The third question from Jessica is, “When doing a follow-up SIBO breath test, how long do you have patients stop rifaximin or botanicals prior to that follow-up testing?”

Generally, four weeks is the answer. Have about a four-week gap between finishing the antimicrobial protocol, whether botanicals or prescription, before doing follow-up testing.
