Can drinking pH-balanced water affect stomach acid in time?

Chris Kresser: Paula asked, “Can drinking pH-balanced water affect stomach acid in time?”

I don’t think so. I’ve written about this. If you search for “kresser acid alkaline myth” or just “kresser acid alkaline,” you’ll see part 1 and part 2 articles and also a podcast at the top. I highly recommend reading those articles and listening to them. What we eat in general and drink doesn’t really affect the pH of our blood because the pH of our blood is so critically regulated in a narrow range, because if it goes out of that range, we can die. What we eat and drink does not have a significant impact there.
