Dr. Amy Nett:  It depends on what kind of immune support. Is there an autoimmune condition? Do you have high antibody levels? In general, are you looking for chronic viral treatments? I guess, I think it would depend a little bit on the situation. For sort of general immune support, I would probably think about probiotics, glutathione. You could also do some vitamin C to strengthen the immune system. Zinc if I’m doing more of an anti-viral type protocol. I might use something like astragalus. But if someone has an autoimmune condition, I wouldn’t want to overstimulate the immune system, so I’d be a little bit more cautious in terms of astragalus. If it’s an autoimmune condition, then immune balance, you would think more about something like low-dose naltrexone. You’re sort of super basic level of supporting/balance in the immune system, probably glutathione, vitamin C, probiotics. Those would all be a pretty reasonable place to start and those can be taken with Coumadin.
