Chi asked, “Iberogast can now be only recommended by a medical herbalist in the UK. Bearing that in mind, the individual in question cannot use HCl due to an ulcer. Which bitter herbs supplement complex what do you recommend as another alternative?”
Chris: Any bitters formula is pretty good. Quicksilver Scientific has a good bitters formula, although it’s a little expensive. I like Herb Pharm, if you know that company. I don’t know if you can get that in the UK. Pharm is spelled P-H-A-R-M, like pharmacy, and they have a formula called Better Bitters that’s good. I think they have one that’s alcohol-free and uses glycerin as well.
You can find quite a few of these bitters. You can just look on the back of the bottle for any of those products that I just recommended in terms of what’s in there, and then you can usually find local products that are suitable replacements.
