Is monolaurin available on Emerson good enough, or does it have to be Lauricidin?

Dr. Amy Nett: Again, I think this might have been covered on Tuesday, but in case it wasn’t, we do specifically recommend Lauricidin rather than the monolaurin that’s available on Emerson, and this is based on Chris’s experience. He has found that the Lauricidin is more effective, and it’s also easier to fine tune the doses because it comes in small pellets. Monolaurin, the one that you get on Emerson, I believe that one comes in capsule form. The Lauricidin comes in these small pellets, and that way you’re able to start patients … Our sensitive patients, we will actually start them on literally just one or two pellets. They sometimes look at us like we’re crazy telling them to start with such a small dose, but for some people, it works really well to just start with one or two pellets and move up very gradually. It allows them to titrate the dose as it works for them, so we do prefer that one more specifically.
