Chris Kresser:  Yes to both parts of your question

The only downside of fasting to the protocols is that in some cases people feel a little bit nauseous when they take some of the supplements without food, and there’s not really a way around that with fasting is someone is really doing water fasting. There’s not much that can be done about that. CBD oil, if it doesn’t interfere with anything else you’re doing, might be one consideration because that can help with nausea, so that’s something you can think about.
