Dr. Amy Nett: Autoimmune disease, particularly when antibody levels are out of control. I sometimes occasionally, rarely, have actually used it for infertility based on the idea that a couple of clinics, I think, in the UK or Ireland, they use LDN, the idea being perhaps that infertility is potentially caused by some sort of immune imbalance. Then I have tried it two patients now for chronic pain, and this is part of your question here. I’ve tried it for two patients now who have chronic terrible pain issues without a known autoimmune condition. One of them has only been on it for three months, and we’ve seen a slight improvement, so a slight decrease in her pain actually. The other one, we just started her on the low-dose naltrexone about three weeks ago, so I haven’t had a chance to follow up with her.
Number one is autoimmune conditions with antibodies that are sort of out of control. Especially I’ll use it with Crohn’s, but with my IBD patients I definitely use LDN. And, yes, I also use it for chronic pain issues, as well.
