Chris Kresser: In depends on what’s happening and the goal. I think as a kind of just regular preventative or dietary supplement, EVCLO, extra-virgin cod liver oil, at a dose of a teaspoon a day, if that’s their only source of DHA, that may not be enough. But if they’re eating pasture-raised meat, that can actually be a fairly substantial source of EPA and DHA, according to some studies out of New Zealand. If they’re eating pasture-raised meat and animal products and a teaspoon of cod liver oil, that could be enough, but if they have a condition that would benefit from higher amounts of EPA and DHA, then, yeah, I would probably recommend a little extra, maybe wild salmon oil. I like that as a fish oil supplement, something like that.
