What partially hydrolyzed guar gum do you use, and where is it sourced?

Chris Kresser: We often will recommend the Healthy Origins. It uses Sunfiber, which is like a brand that patented trademark of partially hydrolyzed guar gum. I’m not remembering off the top of my head what Sunfiber is sourced from. I know we’ve had a couple of patients look into that. Obviously, the original source is the guar plant seed, but I don’t know if you’re asking does it have any other fillers, other starches or things like that. I don’t think so because it just has a single ingredient on the list, but you could call them up and find out.

I don’t think any of our distributors actually carry this product. This is yet another reason why we’re creating a store that actually has everything that we need for our patients. But right now, I think we just send them to iHerb.com. They carry it. Just yet another shipping charge, though. This is the problem.
